In the process of designing this capsule collection, the goal was to embrace femininity in an unexpected way.  Instead of going the expected route and using bright, feminine colors, the color palette was kept subdued and the femininity comes across in the subtle details found in the trims and fabric choices.  This jacket puts a modern twist on classic Victorian-era inspiration.  Sheer fabrics add lightness and ease to the dark color palette.  A floral motif is incorporated, but is also abstracted with fabric manipulation in the shape of abstracted flowers.  The flower motif layered on the flower fabric creates an unexpected textile.  Dot mesh, puff sleeves, and covered buttons reference the Victorian inspiration.  Panels of contrast fabric are included to bring an element of modernity to the designs.
