And these trends are what designers and influencers are loving right now.
Feeling lost thanks to the overwhelming number of shows, content, and brands? Don't worry! I've put together a list of the most popular looks of the season, so stop stressing! Keep scrolling to see what you should definitely be wearing right now (hint: it's a lot of 90's trends that you can probably find in your mom's closet).
Roses are red (and white, and black and...)

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, flower chokers and brooches have been a staple in the spring/summer wardrobe of you favorite influencers. Designers really drove this home with large floral motifs being used at necklines, busts, and skirts. They elevated the floral choker from streetwear to high end using silks, satins, leather, and even knits. The Met Gala also saw camellias all over the red carpet in honor of Karl, so I doubt these statement pieces are going anywhere soon.
Barely There Babes

According to the overwhelming number of naked dresses on the runway, skin is in. This might not be great for an every day uniform, but I can already see this becoming the go-to look for nights out during the summer. You can easily participate in this trend without breaking the bank - check out the lingerie section at your local thrift store!
Hips Don't Lie

Following the last few seasons of lower and lower waistlines, designers decided it was time to spice up this 90s reference. Tom Ford for Gucci seemed to be a subtle influence for a lot of these runway looks, with hip cutouts and thong details drawing attention to bare midriffs. There were also chains, buckles, and beading slung across skintight maxi dresses to create the same effect without the exposed skin.
Risky Business

Remember when Kendall Jenner was photographed sans pants and everyone went crazy? Well, get used to bare legs and underwear combos. Underwear ranged from actual boxer briefs to fully beaded and leather. I'm not sure how practical this trend is, but it is definitely a statement.
Jean-ius Tailoring

Denim has always been a staple, from function workwear to everyday denim, but this season it was upgraded from a basic to a statement piece. With the 90s revival, we have seen a lot of double denim taking over the street. Designers acknowledged this, but revamped the Canadian Tuxedo with cutouts, layers, and unexpected silhouettes. Wide leg jeans were popular, but they featured cargo pockets, slits, and even double waistbands.
The Naked Catsuit

Similar to the sheer dress, the sheer lace catsuit made a number of appearances. Models sported skintight sheer styles - this seems like a bad idea in terms of reality, but a popular styling trick for day-to-day wear is layered under a flowy skirt and t-shirt.
Lady In Red

While red has evolved past a trending color to solidify its place in every woman's wardrobe, this season featured a more ethereal take on the color. There were many flowy, strappy red dresses that could easily rival Kiera Knightly's iconic green dress from Atonement. As you hunt for your next statement dress, consider forgoing the black dress in favor of a ruby red piece.
Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weenie Bra

Remember that camp song that went "Itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow polka dot bikini"? Well, it's not just a song anymore. A number of designers sent models down the runway in barely-there bras, if they can even be called that. Some went so far as to use bedazzled logo motifs, white others used unexpected textiles like Ann Demeulemeester's feather that sent shockwaves through Instagram and TikTok when Hunter Schafer wore a piece straight from the runway to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
Not Your Mom's Slip Dress

Lace panelling has been trending for a few seasons, and it's nice to see that it's not going anywhere. Slip dresses, in both long and short silhouettes featured lace hems and bust details. Some designers dressed it up even further, mixing in sequins and metallic textiles. Again, this is another trend you can easily pick up from your favorite vintage store or find for a bargain if you spend enough time scrolling on Depop.
Doily Chic

With summer right around the corner, it makes sense that designers would reveal a variety of lightweight and frilly white dresses. A mix of cottage-core and your Italian summer Pinterest dreams, many of these dresses featured puff sleeves, ruching, and dainty ruffles. These are great styles to use as inspiration for your summer looks - pair them with boots to add a bit of edge, or add a Mary Jane heel to make the look a little bit more coquette.
Cut It Out

The classic black dress got a makeover. Cutouts, straps, and halter necklines ruled the runways. While less timeless than a classic LBD, these dresses allow you to have a little more fun with your look. They are also great for summer since the exposed skin can cool you down on those hot nights out.
Buckle Up

Belts are usually used as a functional piece, but designers are embracing the unconventional. Belts were seen across the bust or layered on the waist, not to hold up pants but instead as the focal point of the look. This is an easy styling hack that most people can do with what they already have in their closets. Layer two or three belts with your favorite baggy jean and you've recreated one of the season's top trends.
Two Is Better Than One

This is a controversial look, but the skirt-over-pant styling trend was popular on the catwalk. This is a very niche look, but a lot of influencers have been trying this trend with sheer lace skirts over jeans and pleated minis over suit pants. This might not be for you, but try layering a sheer skirt over lace leggings or a pleated mini over a longer skirt (a la Vivienne Westwood TikTok styling trend) to give the same feeling.
